People of WalMart website seems to have crashed due to heavy traffic to its site. It has been constantly in news for one reason or the other.

The website only poses questions and allows its readers to answer those questions. It is very interesting. But for Wal Mart guys, it must be abhorring.

A blogger has this to say about People of Wal Mart, “Letting it all hang out, telling the world you’ve stopped caring about your appearance and scarfing down hunks of cheese and greasy pizza as you parade about the aisles in search of cheaper ice cream and a new pair of Dickies to disguise the cigarette burns from your last Saturday night blowup with the missus”.

What Would Wal-Mart Do?

One of last week’s web sensations was People of Wal-Mart, a photo-blog featuring candid, mocking, in-store pictures of unusual Wal-Mart customers. The site is up and down thanks to its instant popularity, but think torn wife-beater shirts, mullets and the morbidly overweight. Here’s a nice quote from Associated Content:

What? No. Can’t be. Too simple. No way. Someone came up with a blog theme that 1) makes me laugh, 2) doesn’t cost me anything, and 3) raises my self-esteem, self-worth, and feelings of superiority over my fellow human beings (term used loosely)? “People of WalMart” is simply genius. Or cruel. Or genius.
